Most club-management software is a system of record. It faithfully stores what happened — every booking, every payment, every cancellation — and when you want to know how last month went, it can tell you. That is useful. It is also where most platforms stop.
The operators we work with do not run their clubs looking backward. They are deciding what to price on a slow Tuesday morning, which off-peak league to launch, whether the membership push is actually working. For those decisions, a record is not enough. You need a read — and you need it where you are already working.
That is the idea behind PodPlay Insights, the reporting experience now built into the PodPlay dashboard. It replaces Analytics+, our previous reporting package, which lived in a separate Tableau workbook. Insights keeps the analytical depth and moves it inside the platform — then adds a layer a spreadsheet never could: intelligence that helps you act.
PodPlay has always been building towards a full-stack platform — club and tournament management, video capture, and autonomous operations in one system, rather than a booking tool wired to three other vendors. Reporting was the one place your data still had to leave the building. It synced out to a separate workbook with its own login and its own load times.
Insights closes that gap. Your analytics now sit one click from where you build programming and manage members — same platform, same login, and noticeably faster. The Overview page gives you the KPIs for club performance at a glance. The deeper dives are organized around the questions you actually ask — revenue, occupancy, customers, memberships, events, replays, coaching — and every report is a labeled tile you can open without hunting through a workbook. Less time getting to the number; more time deciding what it means.
The bigger shift is what happens once you have the number.
Insights includes an AI Assistant that reads your data (and your data only) and answers in plain language. Ask it what utilization looks like on weekends and it builds the report. Ask it something harder — where your biggest opportunities to grow revenue are next quarter — and it does the work a good analyst would: it queries your utilization, revenue, membership, and event data, reasons through it, and hands you a prioritized, quantified set of actions you can implement. Fill these off-peak slots. Convert this share of non-members. Push these under-filled events. And it shows its work, so you can check the logic before you commit to it.
Asked how to grow revenue next quarter, the Assistant returns quantified, prioritized actions — and shows the reasoning and data behind each one.
And none of it requires pulling your data out of the system it lives in. You have probably tried the workaround — export a few reports, paste them into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, and ask. It works, sort of, until you are reconciling a stale spreadsheet with a chatbot that has no idea how your club actually runs, and rebuilding the whole thing by hand the next time a question comes up. Insights puts the AI where the data already is: same dashboard, live numbers, no exporting and no copy-paste. You ask right where you work, and the Assistant is already reasoning over the real thing.
That is the move from a system of record to a system of action. The data does not just sit there waiting to be interpreted — the platform meets you halfway.
Here is why that layer matters coming from us in particular.
Clubs have always told us the same thing about working with PodPlay: we get it, because we have done it. Our team has run venues — PingPod’s autonomous clubs are where this technology was built and field-tested. When an operator asks us a question, they are not talking to a vendor reading from a script; they are talking to people who have stared at the same utilization curve and made the same call about whether to discount a Tuesday morning.
The intelligence in Insights is that experience, built into the product. The Assistant reasons about your business the way a fellow operator would — where the unsold capacity is, which customers are worth more than they are paying, what the highest-return next move is — and it is there every time you open the dashboard, not just when you can get one of us on the phone.
If you used Analytics+, everything you relied on is here — faster, easier to find, and joined by a lot you could not do before. If you did not, this is the reporting layer that turns the data your club already generates into decisions you can make this week.
Insights is live in the PodPlay dashboard now. Open it from the left-hand navigation, start on the Overview, and ask the Assistant your first question.
And this is just v1. It's a step change from what it replaced — and it's the worst version of Insights you'll ever use. We're excited to launch it, and more excited about what comes next.

For years, having courts was enough. But when supply expands, availability stops being the reason players pick you. The new basis of competition is the experience — and whether it follows them home.
