Introducing Alfie: PodPlay AI Agent

Leading the Customer Success team at PodPlay Technologies feels natural because I grew up in the service industry.

My mother owned a private catering business and she always ensured I was part of it. I bussed tables, served food at weddings, and mixed martinis at house parties. It wasn’t the ideal fun Saturday night for a teenager, but, the more I worked, the more I came to appreciate the value of service.

Fast-forward twenty years, and my wife still catches me checking my Slack for client questions on evenings and weekends. When clients need help, I can’t seem to turn it off. Thanks Mom! This dynamic got me thinking: How can I provide the same level of service while doing less work?

Alfie is an AI Agent seamlessly integrated into the PodPlay Admin Dashboard. It functions like a Customer Success Manager (CSM), answering client questions by tapping into over 300 articles from our Knowledge Base.

Alfie is the tireless worker my mother always wished she had for her catering business—never missing a beat, always ensuring that everyone is well-served.

Of course, nobody needs AI assistance all the time. That’s why Alfie can be easily turned on or off, ready to assist when needed and step aside when it's not. With a simple click on the question mark in the lower-left corner of the dashboard, the Ask Alfie box disappears, letting staff manage their workflows without distraction.
